Questions and answers
What does a converter box do?
It lets an older TV without a digital tuner watch free digital broadcasts. Plug your antenna into the box and the box into your TV, and it turns the digital signal into a picture your TV can show.
Will it work with my TV?
Yes. It connects by HDMI (up to 1080p) to modern TVs and has analogue AV outputs for older sets.
Can I record programmes?
Yes. Plug in a USB stick or drive and you can record live TV, or schedule recordings ahead using the 7-day programme guide.
Can it play my own videos and photos?
Yes. The USB port doubles as a media player for video, music and photos, including common video formats such as AVI and MKV.
Do I need an antenna as well?
Yes. The box needs an antenna to receive the broadcasts. Any of our Vilso antennas will do the job.
Is there a parental lock?
Yes. It has parental control (V-chip), plus closed captions and a favourite-channels list.
